Last Year Our Senior Kapa Haka group began the year with the annual Taitokerau Festival, which most school around the Northland region part take in. It was held in Otamatea, so we our school had a long trip down. The feedback we got from other schools was very good and very up lifting towards our performance.
Another annual event we attended was the 40th coronation of the late Maori Queen Te Arikinui Dame Te Atairangi Kahu, many groups from all around the country flocked in to Ngaruawahia for the late Queen, it was an even special event being that this was the queens 40th years on her throne.
Next year in 2007 we are yet to confirm our Kapa Haka schedule but we do know that these two Kapa Haka events along with others, will be attended by Te Taiohi Mataara O Panguru.
